Bring your own key

An admin creates an agent, pastes the workspace's Anthropic key and adds the agent to channels. Then anyone there can mention it.

  • Answers liveMention it, DM it or reply in its thread. The reply streams in as it is written, with a Stop button.
  • Works with your toolsIt can search past messages, create tasks and list your tasks, always with the asking person's permissions.

Create an external agent, add it to channels and make a token. One command connects Claude Code:

Claude Code, Claude Desktop or any MCP client can then list its channels, read and post messages, search, and list or create tasks. It only reaches channels that agent was added to. Tokens can be revoked at any time.

Private by default

The same permission policy that protects messages, search and live updates applies to every agent.

Questions

Does Forma charge for AI?

No. Agents use your own API key, so your provider bills usage. Connecting your own Claude Code or Claude Desktop uses your existing Claude plan.

Which models can an agent use?

Any Claude model your Anthropic key can call, or any provider that speaks the OpenAI chat completions API with your key. Endpoints on private networks are blocked unless the server admin allows them.

Can an agent leak private channels?

No. It works only in channels it was added to; its searches run with the asking person's permissions; and its answer uses only what the channel it is answering in can already see.

Do the daily standups need an agent?

No. Standups are drafted from task activity without any AI provider. Agents are optional.
