# Plugport > Plugport is open-source (Apache-2.0), self-hosted software that lets AI agents act in third-party apps as each of their users: GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Discord, Notion, Linear, Asana, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, HubSpot, Airtable, Figma, Sentry, Vercel, Cloudflare, Brave Search, Resend and Stripe (19 apps, 49 actions), with a built-in web dashboard. It handles OAuth 2.0 (PKCE, refresh), stores credentials sealed with AES-256-GCM on the operator's server, and makes actions that change something wait for a person to approve the exact request. Agents use it over MCP (streamable HTTP, a five-tool router or one tool per action) or REST, with tool definitions in OpenAI, Anthropic and MCP formats. One Go binary with SQLite. An open-source alternative to Composio; not affiliated with it. ## Key facts - No AI API key needed: it runs inside Claude Code, Cursor or Codex as an MCP server. - Start: `docker run -p 8090:8090 -v plugport-data:/data ghcr.io/pandeyvishwas51-oss/plugport`, then `claude mcp add --transport http plugport http://localhost:8090/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer pp_..." --header "X-Plugport-User: me"`. - Apps are JSON files in internal/catalog/apps; adding one needs no Go code. `plugport import openapi --slug name spec.json` turns any OpenAPI 3 JSON spec into an app in /apps. - Status: early release; tested against fake providers, not yet against every real API. ## Links - [Website](https://pandeyvishwas51-oss.github.io/plugport/) - [Source code](https://github.com/pandeyvishwas51-oss/plugport) - [Releases](https://github.com/pandeyvishwas51-oss/plugport/releases)
